      Particulars

      Kevin is the Director for Internationalisation in the School of Law.

      Kevin is also a lecturer in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice. Prior to taking up his position at Queen's he spent time as a lecturer at Newcastle University and as an associate lecturer at the University of Manchester. Kevin has also held research assistant positions at the University of Manchester and the University of Aberdeen. Kevin has been a visiting scholar at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and Fordham Law School in New York City.

      Kevin's work has been published in leading academic journals including Legal Studies, the  Journal of Law and Society, the Criminal Law Review and the Howard Journal of Criminal Justice. 

      Kevin has presented on his work both nationally and internationally to academic and practitioner audiences. 

      Kevin has been awarded funding from the ESRC, EPSRC and other funding bodies. 

      Kevin's main research interests lie in socio-legal explorations of the regulation and governance of public space, victims' rights, and more broadly criminal law and criminal justice. 

      Kevin is skilled in the use of qualitative research methods including focus groups, interviews and questionnaires. Kevin is also knowledgable on the use of quantative data in analysis of the criminal law and criminal justice system. 

      Kevin served as secretary of the Socio-Legal Studies Association. He served six years as a member of the SLSA's sub-committee for the awarding of Research Grants and PhD Fieldwork Scholarships.
