ABO: Interactive Journal for Women in the Arts, 1640-1830 (http://scholarcommons.usf.edu/abo/) is a peer reviewed, open access, interactive, scholarly journal, launched in 2011 by the Aphra Behn Society with the support of the University of South Florida and TCU. Like the Aphra Behn Society, the journal is not limited to work on Behn; we publish writing on all aspects of gender and women in the arts—across fields, genres, and geographies—in the long eighteenth century. The editing process at ABO is collaborative. ABO is run by an editorial team consisting of a general editor, managing editor(s), section editors, and copyeditor. All decisions about the production of the journal are made by the editorial team with input, when needed, from the editorial board. As a member of the editorial board I am be expected to read one or two manuscripts for the journal each year and to attend an annual or semiannual zoom meeting of the entire board and editorial staff.
