Description
Romani (Gypsy), Roma and Traveller communities remain among the most educationally marginalised groups in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This symposium brought together researchers, policymakers, community organisers and practitioners to examine the structural barriers that limit participation in higher education, and to identify what meaningful, sustained institutional change looks like in practice. The day was convened by Queen’s University Belfast and formed part of a broader commitment to widening participation, equity and community partnership. It was intended for academics, higher education professionals, policy officers, community workers and anyone with an interest in advancing inclusion in education.
