This one-day event hosted by The School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (JOMEC) at Cardiff University was part of an AHRC funded research network in Journalism created at at Sheffield University (and organised by Prof Martin Conboy) to which I was invited to present a paper entitled 'The social semiotics of crime: representations of female criminals in the popular press'.
