I had a chat with Hamza the creator of Anatomy Quesion Pro (https://www.anatomyquestionpro.com/), the app has developed a good bit. Hamza is going to give free access to anyone with a @qub.ac.uk email account from now until the end of August 2025. There is no cap on the number that can use the app for this year. After that we can decide what we want to do with no obligation.The app consists of:
12 clinical stations (cases consisting of 10-14 questions, images and explanatory text). They are adding about 4 additional cases per month.
1500 MCQs (with explanatory text and linked videos). Having a quick look at the questions in the demo I did spot some mistakes, but Hamza is very happy for us to send comments/edits and as he is part of a 2-person team that can do all the editing of code I think they would be pretty quick to amend questions etc. At the end of the trial the students would receive a feedback form.
Modules were these games has been implemented:
• Medicine (300 students per year) - MED1028 Foundations for Practice 1 and MED2022 Foundations for Practice 1
• Dentistry (60 students per year) - DEN1020 Anatomy for Dentistry
• Human Biology (all 2nd years Human Biology students will be in the Human Anatomy module and a portion of that group will be in the Neurosciences module, 20-40 students) - BMS2115 Human Anatomy
o BMS2117 Neuroscience
• Clinical Anatomy (all 3 modules have the same student enrolled usually - 15-40 students)
o SCM8112 Applied anatomy of the trunk
o SCM8113 Applied anatomy of the head, neck and brain
o SCM8114 Applied anatomy of the limbs and back

Pricing:
For the 1500MCQ alone - £3000-5000/year for all students
For the 12 clinical cases alone - £8000-11000/year depending on the number of students
For an extra fee lecturers can have access to a dashboard that shows them student performance (I think this would be an amalgamation of all students using it from all years so might not be as useful).
I shared it with the MSc, and 1st dentak students.
