I was Admissions Officer for Social Work for a five year period during which I was responsible for coordinating key aspects of the Social Work admissions processes both at School level and also with the University's Admissions and Access Service. Regional involvement with other key stakeholders was an additionally important part of this role across Northern Ireland. As part of this role, I attended the university wide QAA UK Quality Code Chapter B2 Review Meeting held in Queen's (2014) and reported on key aspects of the Social Work Admissions processes. It was pleasing to be informed that our approach to Admissions was being proposed as a model of good practice as part of this UK Review.
