Description

I chaired the organising committee for this one day conference in my role as Chair of the NI Branch of the British Association for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (BASPCAN). The conference explored a number of issues pertinent to the issue of child sexual exploitation including peer on peer abuse, internet abuse, responding to risk, disruption techniques, and perpetrator motivations. Keynote speakers included Henry Toner (QC), Professor Jenny Pearce (University of Bedfordshire), and Hazel Stewart (Association of Chief Police Officers).
