BBSRC/ESRC epigenetic strategy & network meeting

Activity: Consultancy typesContribution to the work of national or international committees and working groups

Description

ESRC/BBSRC joint call on Epigenetics aimed to encourage new, innovative and collaborative work between the social and biological sciences in the area of epigenetics. Its aim is to encourage epigenetic research to elucidate underlying factors which may explain human response to environmental signals. Overwhelming evidence shows that experiences in early life are linked to subsequent adult outcomes, yet the pathways and mechanisms by which experiences become embedded into the life course are not fully understood.

This one day meeting was held to network and plan for this specific call - 5 November 2014 in London.
