Description

Joining the workshop to contribute thoughts and experiences to explore how future provisions available at Queen’s QUB can be critical support to respond to the transformation and further impact happening in the sectors involved with visual productions.

Virtual Production technologies are transforming the media industry as well as impacting on numerous other sectors where extended reality, digital twinning and virtual reality are adding value to products, services and experiences.  The development of Studio Ulster within the Belfast Region City Deal provides opportunities for Queen’s to contribute to the development of the research and skills base for virtual production.  This workshop, led by Prof. Michael Alcorn, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor, will explore current and future provision available at Queen’s which will support the skills requirements for virtual production and identify opportunities for new approaches which the University might wish to develop in the future.
