Description

This was the second specialist Maymester course organised by myself and Catherine Monaghan to a large group of visiting students and faculty from Belmont University, Nashville, Tennesse. In full there were 35 Nursing, Public Health and Education students and faculty staff taking part over a short period of time. We organised a range of specialist presentations from university and community colleagues on a diverse range of themes such as: Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma Informed Care, The role of education in divided and conflict-affected societies, Northern Ireland: Division, Violence, Symbolic Conflict and a Shared Future, Children’s issues within Northern Ireland.

This was the second of our annual Maymesters which was very well received and evaluated by the Belmont students and faculty taking part.
