Description

The 'People' Specific Programme, aka Marie Curie Actions, of the 7th Framework Programme acknowledges that one of the main competitive edges in science and technology is the quantity and quality of its human resources. The Programme aims to strengthen, quantitatively and qualitatively, the human potential in research and technology in Europe, by stimulating people to take up the profession of a researcher and attracting to Europe the best researchers from the entire world. The mobility dimension of the actions, enhancing international cooperation and transfer of knowledge between research organisations and enterprises of different countries is another key characteristic of the programme.
