Description

As Director of the Centre for Public History, I co-organised this, the Centre's inaugural annual conference, spanning two days and with over 80 delegates from around the world. The conference explored the state of the field of public history and the challenges and opportunities it brings in a range of national contexts. Keynote lectures were delivered by Jock Phillips, Historian to the New Zealand government and conceptual lead for Te Papa Museum, and Professor Ludmilla Jordanova, Professor of Visual Culture in the Department of History at Durham University
