Activity: Visiting an external institution typesResearch and Teaching at External Organisation

China Queens College at Shenyang is the joint venture between the QUB School of Pharmacy and China Medical University to establish a QUB College on the main CMU campus. As part of the pharmacy degree they now offer, they teach 2 modules of physiology.

In 2015, I was part of the QUB "Flying Faculty" that organised the curriuculum, devised notes and travelled there to lecture to the students. I also assisted in the developing the physiology provision for CQC, touring their laboratories and assessing their practical teaching facilities.

Since the visit, I have been involved in their examination process, emending scripts that have been marked by local staff, standardising marking schemes and overall quality control duties. This has involved numerous meetings with staff in QUB and CQC. I have also recorded my lectures for broadcast on their intranet.
