Description

The revision workshop formed the final stage of the adoption programme and focused on reflection, refinement, and sustainability of practice. The session was led by Dr Matt Birch, alongside Dr Jennifer McGaughey and Stuart Ogg, and brought together staff who had begun implementing video-based approaches in their teaching.

Participants reviewed their initial video content, shared experiences, and discussed challenges and successes in using video for learning and feedback. The workshop supported iterative improvement and generated shared recommendations and exemplars that informed School-level guidance on video-based teaching and assessment feedback.

This reflective approach aligned with institutional priorities around continuous enhancement of teaching practice and supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by embedding reflective, evidence-informed pedagogical innovation.

This workshop formed part of a successful project introducing video-based learning and feedback in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, which contributed to the team receiving a Teaching Innovation Award.
