Description
St John's College invited me to give a composition workshop to current undergraduate music students at the college. I spoke of my process of composing 'This Place', a site-specific composition written for St John's College Chapel, and my current PhD research using spatial auditory practices to critically examine conceptions of the 'Anthropocene'. The talk concluded with a discussion on the (sometimes unexpected) reach of musical composition, and the value of drawing on a variety of disciplines in creative practice.
