Description
iRISE / REC Co-created EDI Work for SWAN renewal application
As part of my EDI, Path to Sanctuary, and Race Equality Charter (REC) leadership, I have created and delivered workshops and initiatives in collaboration with the University’s iRISE network, Path to Sanctuary Programme, and the REC Institutional Self-Assessment Team. Drawing on my role within the Path to Sanctuary Operational Group and REC ISAT, this work has modelled co-production with staff, students, and civic partners to embed race equality, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice across teaching, governance, and engagement.
Key contributions include leading inclusive consultation workshops during Black History Month, contributing to institutional REC survey analysis and action planning, and embedding Sanctuary principles into staff development and student-facing initiatives. Collectively, this work strengthened cross-University connectivity, supported REC delivery, and advanced Athena SWAN objectives around inclusive culture, shared leadership, and institutional accountability.
Selected examples (illustrative, impact-focused):
