Speaker: Dio Giotas, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Dementia and Delirium, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
Dio will cover guidelines for the identification, assessment, and management of delirium, including practical tools like the DELIRIUM acronym. Gio will also discuss the critical role of involving patients and families in the care process.

NICE Guidance for Delirium: Key Updates and Practical Implications
Speaker: Dr Gary Mitchell MBE, Co-Chair of the RCN Older People’s Forum
Dr Mitchell will provide a summary of the updated NICE guidance for delirium (https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/cg103), drawing on his experience as a member of the guideline development group. This presentation will conclude the session by tying together key insights from earlier talks and providing practical recommendations based on NICE standards.
