Digital Capacity and Capability Group for HSC WorkforceThe group’s overall objectives:
1. Develop a plan to co-ordinate information and formulate recommendations regarding HSC Staff Digital Capacity and Capability ensuring that all key stakeholders are able to contribute to and help to shape the plan, so that it addresses their interests and issues;
2. Identify the required number of clinically led, managerially led or co-chaired workstreams to take forward identified work;
3. Review current capabilities against the emerging requirements relating to the delivery of HSC Digital strategy as well as our existing statutory and corporate commitments; What are we already doing?
4. Develop systems to support service and organisational commitment to digital health capabilities within HSC workforce;
5. Use best practice tools such as the All-Ireland Digital Capability Framework to develop an approach to digital skills assessment;
6. Use available best practice tools to develop an approach to training and education in informatics and the appropriate application of digital technology in health and social care;
7. Provide expertise, direction and assurance to agreed workstreams
8. Act as an escalation body to provide assurance on workstream outputs providing recommendations for approval to proceed.
