I provided information critical for completion of this report commissioned by the Health and Social Care Northern Ireland Trust Research Environment (NITRE) through investment in Data Connectivity, a HDRUK COVID-19 National Core Study. The aim was to document the processes whereby the sequences of SARS-CoV-2 samples are generated and disseminated to the stakeholders in Northern Ireland. This is of utmost importance to enable monitoring of the different SARS-CoV-2 variants at local, national, and international levels.
