Conversations - 'The Story I Want My Life to Be' - Next Steps

Dr Laura Dunne and Dr Liam O'Hare secured a £500 grant from ESRC Festival of Social Science to hold an event at Queen's University Belfast.
The event explored findings from the Conversations Project, a collaboration between Queen's and Greater Shankill Children and Young People Zone. The Conversations Project engaged children and youth in the Shankill community, enabling them to share their current and potential future lives, or to put it simply, to help them discover ‘the story they want their life to be’. The event brought together children, teachers and researchers to explore if, and how, things have changed and what the next steps should be. Groups of young people from the Belfast Girls' Model School and the Belfast Boys' Model School spent the day with the research team, exploring and interpreting research findings and making suggestions for future research priorities.
