Description

This workshop focused on evaluating learner needs to inform instructional and digital learning design. Delivered by Dr Matt Birch, it encouraged reflective, learner-centred practice. This session formed part of the QUBSONM Summer Digital Education Training Programme 2021, a coordinated series of professional development activities supporting staff capability building in digital education.

Participants explored methods for understanding student contexts, motivations, and barriers to engagement, particularly in online learning environments.

The session aligned with Strategy 2030’s focus on inclusive education, contributing to SDG 4 and SDG 10 by supporting responsive and equitable teaching practice.
