Launched at the UN General Assembly in 2024, ESIC has mobilised $126m in its first year (including UKRI investment). A ‘community of communities’, ESIC brings together 45 UN entities, the world’s leading evidence synthesis producers, major evidence intermediary networks, and over 35 funders to improve lives - through evidence synthesis - and collective learning. I was invited to ESIC’s meeting in Cape Town (June 2025) to shape a Consensus Charter to guide their foundational investments.
