The Coalition of Aid and Development Agencies in Northern Ireland (CADA), in partnership with the Institute for Global Food Security, co-hosted an event entitled Exploring the Future of Our Planet. The event featured a talk from author Gaia Vince as well as a panel discussion with Gaia, Dr Amanda Slevin (QUB's Centre for Sustainability, Equality and Climate Action), and Ross Fitzpatrick (Christian Aid).

Gaia Vince is an award-winning science writer, broadcaster, and researcher specialising in human-environment interactions. She has travelled extensively to study the impacts of climate change, globalisation, and population growth. Gaia is the author of acclaimed books and has written for The Guardian, New Scientist and Science, she also presents BBC’s Inside Science. Gaia’s work has earned numerous accolades and she is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at UCL’s Anthropocene Institute and a founding member of the Climate Migration Council.
