Description
As External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Learning Disability Nursing I acted as an independent expert to ensure academic standards, consistency, and alignment with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards. My role was to ensure a valid and reliable assessment process to a standardised criterion that reflected the learning outcomes to be achieved for a specific module. I had oversight and review of this 3-year nursing programme and was responsible for assessment moderation, scrutinising sample assessments review, attendance at Module Assessment Boards. Programme Boards, to approve results for progression and final awards Quality Assurance. I submitted annual quality assurance reports over my tenure as External Examiner.
