Description

As part of a programme of activity for the Queen’s Fellowship Academy, the focus for this session is on the interdisciplinary researcher: how to approach it; how to develop ideas for projects; novel methods and how does interdisciplinary work get peer reviewed and funded? We will have members of Interdisciplinary Panels, to share insights, with input from Samantha Aspinall, University of Leeds, Head of Interdisciplinary Research and Professor Barry Smith, Director of the institute of Philosophy, University of London, School of Advanced Studies and REF Interdisciplinary Research Panel.
There will be a panel discussion, chaired by Professor Emma Flynn, PVC Research & Enterprise, including the above speakers and our Queen’s colleagues:
• Professor Kathryn Higgins, School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work and Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation
• Dr Godfrey Gaston, Executive Director Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology
