Dr. Alarid-Escudero is a Post-Doctoral Associate at University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Fernando holds a Masters of Economics from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas A.C in Mexico, and recently completed his PhD in Health Services Research, Policy and administration at the University of Minnesota, his research focused on Health Decision Sciences, working alongside Professor Karen M. Kuntz. During his PhD Fernando worked on the CERVICCS project, calibrating a mathematical model of the natural history of HPV in the U.S. population using a hybrid Bayesian approach and on the CISNET2 project, Modeling Effective Health Policies for Colorectal Cancer.
Fernando works closely as part of the DARTH work group - Decision Analysis in R for Technologies in Health, teaching in their range of courses on health economic modelling approaches in R. He is co-author in their recent paper ‘Microsimulation Modeling for Health Decision Sciences Using R: A Tutorial. Fernando also has expertise in Value of Information and Probabilistic Sensitivity analysis in R. This webinar will provide a taster of his work, the training offered and we trust, inspire new collaborations.
