Description
As a result of the publication of my book The Car in British Society (Manchester University Press, 1998) I was invited to take part in a European workshop to discuss potential research agendas. This event took place at the University of Turin I spoke on' Motoring and the gender agenda'. All my expense were met by the organisers.
