Description
The Greater New Orleans Human Trafficking Task Force is a coalition of state, civil society and citizen organisers working to prevent human trafficking in the Greater New Orleans area through education, outreach and collaboration. Members of the Task Force include: law enforcement, social services, legal services, medical services, and research institutions. At this event, research findings on the key risks and impacts of Covid-19 on victims and survivors or human trafficking in the USA were presented. These findings were based on an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded research project which sought to assess the risks, impacts and mitigating responses of Covid-19 for victims and survivors of modern slavery living in the UK and USA.
