Grief Awareness Week: Queen’s Collaborative Grief Literacy Event

This event was organised as part of National Grief Awareness Week and brought together 11 organisations to promote grief literacy across the university community. As the main organiser, I coordinated representatives from academic units, professional services, student support teams, and partner groups to create a collaborative space focused on improving understanding of grief and bereavement. The event strengthened Queen’s collective capacity to support those experiencing loss and encouraged open, confident conversations about grief. Insights and themes emerging from this event later informed the development of a related blog post on partnership approaches to grief literacy, extending the work's impact beyond the event itself.
