Description

Leading the School's Performance Programme 2014 - 2018 as Head of Music Performance. This role involved administering performance related issues such as expert tuition, performances, special outreach events and performance exams. I oversaw ca. 150 performance students and around 40 members of specialist external teaching staff. I administered a Performance budget of ca. £52k on behalf of the School. During my time I established, maintained and administered essential links for students' benefit including with external organisations, such as the BBC, Ulster Orchestra, Opera NI, Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble, Cathedral Arts Festival, Moving on Music, Belfast Music Society, Libraries NI, and Diatribe Records.
I was integral in developing QUB's new BA Performance Programme in 2016/2017, which launched at the start of September 2017. I specifically designed and developed the Improvisation Module, now taught to year 2 students, which received a 4.8 teaching score in its first year and a score of 4.9 in the second year.
