In Europe, nearly 50 percent of people suffer from low health literacy. Health professionals can be unaware of low health literacy problems; however, effective communication is associated with improved participation, self-management and health outcomes.
On completion of this training you will be able to apply person centred communication strategies to enhance health literacy skills and promote the health of patients with low health literacy by effective self-management.
