Description

The DoH Substance Use Strategy ‘Making Life Better, Preventing Harm, Empowering Recovery (2021-31)'sets out a comprehensive set of proposals for tackling the harms caused by substance use over the next ten years. Invited to join a sub-group considering services for children and young people. The focus of this Group is on reviewing services available for children and young people, particularly looking at the transition of young people from children to adult services. Family support services will be reviewed to ensure that evidence-based supports are available for all those who wish to avail of them, whether or not their family member is in treatment. Service models will also be updated to ensure the involvement of family members in treatment as appropriate.
