Description

Contribution of Expert Knowledge to the 2 year, EU-funded International Research Project by CHIP (on behalf of UNICEF's Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia). A project aimed at strengthening Ireland's domestic adoption system, ensuring better outcomes for all parties involved, in particular the child.
The review looks to 8-10 countries in order to provide Ireland's government with guidance and analysis of potential promising practices in domestic adoption in other countries, including Northern Ireland (and England and Wales). Based on the latter, recommendations and a roadmap will be developed in 2026. Key stakeholders and experts are invited to engage in informant interviews to supplement the information from secondary sources. https://www.child-identity.org/
