Description
IMEC is an inter-disciplinary conference to interrogate the complexities of Ireland’s relationship with the British Empire, and of Irish involvement in colonialism. The conference welcomes contributions from universities, museums, arts and heritage organisations, activist groups and policy-making bodies. It will connect researchers and practitioners interested in objects, archives, buildings, and landscapes in both public and private spaces and throughout the island of Ireland; and will inform current debates surrounding collections from colonised regions, including Africa, the Americas, the Arctic, Asia and Oceania.Period | 08 Apr 2022 → 09 Apr 2022 |
