Co-organiser and facilitator of the Joint RISE-The Language Centre Two Festivals, One Celebration: Duanwu and Danoje Mid-Summer Social 2026, a breakfast gathering held in the Canada Room / Council Chamber. The event brought together two mid-summer festivals: Duanwu, celebrated in Chinese culture, and Danoje, celebrated in Korean culture. Both festivals fall around the fifth day of the fifth lunar month and are associated with the arrival of summer, seasonal customs, health, protection, remembrance and community.
