Expert Consultant for the Embark Scholarship Scheme 2010

This involved evaluating proposals for the EMBARK Scholarship Scheme 2010 funded through the IRCSET. This scheme provides funding for those who wish to complete an MSc or PhD by research at a recognised research institute in Ireland. As part of the assessment panel for this scheme I had to evaluate 100 applications remotely via an online system during a 5 week period. Then a small number of the reviewers were invited to a panel meeting in Dublin over a 2 day period to discuss the grading of the applications and to recommend a shortlist of applicants for funding.
