Joining conversations: why our methods matter (Local QUB PhD Conference, Online)

Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited or keynote talk at national or international conference

Description

Regardless of our topic areas, one of our strengths as psychologists is how we apply robust methods to our areas of interest. This talk will draw on some recent research around what we should measure and how we should measure it in alcohol and drug use, and why ‘getting it as right as possible’ matters. It also covers methods training, open science, global challenges, and replicability crises and aims to show how good methods ensure our conversations (publications) can be heard, understood, and useful.
