Description

The Journal of Slavery and Data Preservation's Editorial Board represents scholars whose research foci are on various regions of Africa and the African Diaspora where enslaved individuals and groups originated as well as areas where slaves were forcibly trafficked and (re)settled throughout the Atlantic and Indian Ocean worlds. The Journal of Slavery and Data Preservation is part of the Enslaved Project, Matrix: The Center for Digital Humanities & Social Sciences at Michigan State University. It is further supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The National Endowment for the Humanities for Slave Biographies--a project that impacted the genesis of the Journal of Slavery and Data Preservation--and the University of Maryland.
