Description

Dr. Laura Dempsey, Lecturer and Programme Coordinator for the BSc in General Nursing, along with Dr. Leonard, Lecturer and Programme Coordinator for the Advanced Health Assessment Course, recently visited the Clinical Skills Education Centre (CSEC), the Nursing & Midwifery Clinical Education Centre (NMCEC), the KN Cheung SK Chin InterSim Centre, and the Healthcare Skills Hub. During their visit, our facilities were showcased, and staff provided a comprehensive overview of the diverse simulation activities conducted within each centre. These activities included advanced virtual reality (VR) simulations and interprofessional simulation exercises that demonstrate how different healthcare disciplines collaborate in simulated scenarios to enhance teamwork and improve patient care outcomes. Plans for future collaboration have been established, with a particular focus on VR, dementia, and palliative care.
