Description
This exciting MAKEathon is organised by Queen’s University Belfast and the College of Agriculture, Food & Rural Enterprise in association with EIT Food. The event comprises a series of live online events accompanied by remote prototyping in Northern Ireland. The participants will work online in teams to create new business ideas that will help make healthier and sustainable dairy products. The ideas will be converted into physical prototypes with the support of the technical team at CAFRE. A MAKEathon is an innovation competition that focusses on making and creating something with your hands which responds to the challenge presented. MAKEit Dairy seeks to attract participants from diverse backgrounds who will come together to find a solution to the question: How do we make healthy and sustainable dairy products? Participants will attend a series of online webinars, workshops, mentoring sessions, and access team ideation platforms. Belfast MAKEit Dairy is open to innovative individuals aged 18+ with creative minds and practical ideas. No previous experience in the dairy industry or with dairy technology is required, we just ask that you are ready to take on the challenge| Period | Nov 2020 |
