Description
The ability to engage with and challenge dominant data regimes is essential for community agency. This presentation explored how community-based curriculum development can mobilise residents, local organisations, and stakeholders to harness both local and new data knowledge for advocacy and decision-making. Drawing on QCAP’s inclusive innovation work, we showcased efforts in building a community research network, advancing community science programmes, and creating touchpoints to STEM education. These initiatives support the development of local data capabilities, ethical data engagement, and ensure communities shape their own futures by drawing out and building upon existing knowledge assets.
