Description

In conjunction with International colleagues in the Prato International Research Collaborative for Change in Parent & Child Mental Health I undertook a Delphi Study to explore the developmental journeys that nine different countries (including NI and Ireland) have undertaken to better meet the needs of families where a parent has a mental illness in adult mental health and children’s services. This research has potential to further increase understanding of initiatives to promote FFP in these different contexts and countries.

The Prato Collaborative International Research Collaborative for Change in Parent & Child Mental Health are a group of researchers from across the world working to improve systems of care to better meet the needs of families where a parent has a mental illness globally. We came together as members of the Systems Group within the Prato Research Collaborative to learn about and better understand system change initiatives across the world. Within our respective countries, we conducted a Delphi Study to capture the journey and progress of achieving (or barriers to achieving) system change, from the perspective of people with an understanding of system change initiatives (including local, regional and/or national initiatives).
