The Early Disease Subgroup of the CSG is the "engine" of UK breast cancer clinical trial development, providing strategic advice and expertise into the development of new clinical trial ideas. I was one of only two surgical members of this group, which providing input into the development of several clinical trials which have subsequently been funded by the NIHR and are in set-up or actively recruiting across the UK.
