Lab View 360 - Biomedical Research in Action Genomics and Bioinformatics workstation In this station we will develop a role game activity to explain the basic principles around the concepts of stratified medicine and precision medicine. The activity will consist in a brief introduction about genomics and how genomes can be generated nowadays followed by a role game in which each of the participants will be given a simulated genome, at a 1:1,000,000 scale, with a list of health related variants and a series of effects (phenotypes) that can be related with those variants. As part of the game we will explain using a small simulation the mechanism of genome wide association studies and we will give a couple of real-world examples about how genomic information can be used for health purposes
