At this event I was responsible for chairing the breakout meeting sessions relating to the pharmacotherapeutics module. My impact in this event (and afterwards in the programme design phase) was significant as I was responsible for collating discussion around the proposed content for the Pharmacotherapeutics module, benchmarking all the agreed learning outcomes associated with the Pharmacotherapeutics module and mapping these to the RPS Prescribing Competency Framework and NMC Standards for Prescribing - all core attributes stipulated by the NMC. This also involved collaboration with our external partners at UU to ensure both HEIs deliver content that is aligned with each other due to the collaborative approval process. This meeting demonstrates our commitment to collaboration with a range external partners (academic from UU, professional partners from health care trust, students, and service users) on design and implementation of our accredited non-medical prescribing (NMP) (now nurse-midwife prescribing, NMP). This significantly allows us to deliver a programme of education that is relevant to the professional nurses and service users involved.| Period | Nov 2018 |
