Description
Board Member & Chair of Victims Committee, Northern Ireland Community Relations Council (an arms-length Government body). This organisation supports societal change in Northern Ireland by fostering reconciliation, tolerance and mutual trust; it administers various funding and grant-giving programmes on behalf of the Northern Ireland Executive, and external organisations including the Special EU Programmes Body (Peace 3 and 4). Leon Litvack was responsible for distributing grants of £12 million annually to victims and survivors' groups affected by the ‘Troubles’ conflict (this function is now executed by the Victims & Survivors Service).
