The Oesophageal Patient Association NI (now called OGCancerNI) is a patient-led charity and their bi-annual wellbeing meeting provides the opportunity to engage with patients and gain feedback on current research directions. The objectives of OGCancerNI are to: 1. Support patients and carers affected by Oesophago-Gastric (Oesophageal and Stomach) Cancer. 2. Communicate the early signs and symptoms of Oesophago-Gastric cancer to promote early intervention. 3. Work in partnership with healthcare providers in Northern Ireland to be a patients advocate and promote the best outcomes for sufferers. 4. Act as the Voice of Patients and provide insight, support and care in a professional manner. Their bi-annual wellbeing meeting provides the opportunity to engage with patients and gain feedback on current research directions.
