Description

I organised a hybrid public outreach event in partnership with the One World Festival NI, Habitat for Humanity Ireland and the Geographical Association (Belfast Branch). The speaker was Dr Deena Khalil. She is a development planner and urban researcher who is currently Manager of the Middle East and North Africa Urban Housing Practitioners Hub (MENA-UHPH) at Habitat for Humanity International, as well as adjunct Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and a founding member of the Network of Urban Studies in Egypt (NUSE).

The event was hosted by Geography @ Queen's and generated an audience of 102 in-person attendees and 210 online.

The talk was recorded. The recording and the PPT resources have been made available, in partnership with Public Engagement at Queen's, on a dedicated web page: https://www.qub.ac.uk/public-engagement/resources/
