Activity: Membership typesMembership of peer review panel or committee

Member of Executive Committee since its inception in 2010. Co-secretary to committee (2012-15) The PCRFNI was established to promote collaboration between researchers, academics, health and social professionals and policy leads who have an interest in promoting palliative care research to address gaps in knowledge. The committee members were responsible for organising three events per year, to showcase research conducted in NI, to develop knowledge of different methodological approaches, and to identify ways of working collaboratively. The committee received funding from the R&D office to host these events, which were subsequently provided free of charge to attendees. Membership of the committee enabled us to collaborate on a regional study exploring 'public perceptions of palliative care', which resulted in two publications and a number of conference presentations.
