Description
A short, invited panel provocation, using as my starting point the American philosopher Alva Noë’s idea of technologies as organising us as human beings. The provocation enticed us to think of the network as art at this very certain point of disruption / of subversion; at this point where we encounter an “absence of utility”, and were we might question whether or in what way the network puts listening/our listening bodies on display, whether or how it teaches us new things/different ways of being in the presence (albeit virtual) of others/ and finally whether or how the network (as art) teaches us indeed different ways of listening and of making music with others.
